Industry and Demonstration Track

The industry and demonstration track allows organizations to showcase their services or products relevant to the bioinformatics / molecular biology community. This track is open for both for-profit and non-profit organizations.

Organizations receive:

  • 45 minute demonstration session allotted to for-profit organizations / 25 minute demonstration session allotted to non-profit organizations
  • Listing in the conference program, including demonstration time in the main schedule and a 250 teaser abstract in the conference program book
  • Listing on conference web site for overview of organization demonstrations
  • Private demonstration room with audiovisual equipment provided. That includes Internet connection, data projector, screen, microphone (all additional equipment required will be charged at cost to the presenting organization)

Demonstrations will be scheduled in either 25 or 45 minute time slots. Presenters must finish on time to allow for the set-up of the following demonstration presentations.

Demonstration presenters will be provided with a Windows-based desktop computer and Internet access. If a different operating system is required presenters should bring their own computer and contact the audiovisual team at least 24 hours before they are due to give the demonstration.

If presenters intend to use a Windows computer provided by the conference for the demonstration, they should bring a CD containing any software and presentation material that needs to be loaded, or they should make it downloadable via Internet.

Within the allotted time slot, presenters have the freedom to demonstrate the software in any way: for example, they can combine one or more structured talks with live demonstrations and question-and-answer sessions. If needed, authors should provide handouts for attendees.
