 By carGhent is located next to the
E40 and E17 motorways and easily reachable by car. From the Netherlands, it is
reached via the Antwerp-Ghent E17 highway. From Germany and France, it is reached
via the Brussels-Ghent E40 highway.
From the UK, it is reached via the French coast (Calais-Oostende-Gent E40). To reach the ICC, take the
Exit Gent-Centrum from the E17
motorway. Then follow the Exit Andere
Richtingen (you are now leaving the highway), turn left at the traffic
lights beneath the overpass. Now you are entering the St.-Lievenslaan, where you follow the direction S.M.A.K. at the third traffic lights.
Then you drive past the S.M.A.K.
museum. Another 50m further, you will find the ICC Ghent on your right hand
side. 
 By plane
 Brussels International Airport The airport train station is
located below the terminal (Basement Level -1). Up to 2 trains an hour connect
the airport directly to the Ghent
St-Pieters (Gand-St-Pierre) railway station, and up to 4 trains an hour
indirectly via Bruxelles-Midi
(Brussel-Zuid, Brussels-South) (see By

coach (Brussels City Shuttle) leaves
the airport to the main Brussels railway station Bruxelles-Midi (Brussel-Zuid, Brussels-South). Then you can take a
regular train to the Gent-St-Pieters

 By trainThe conference venue is
located 500m from the Gent-St-Pieters
railway station. You can easily walk to the Conference Center or take the De Lijn Bus to the Ledeganckstraat (lines 9, 28, 34, 35, 36, 55, 57, 58, 7, 71, 72,
76, 77, 94, 95). Hotels and the city center can be easily reached by public
transport, see below. The Gent-St-Pieters railway station can be reached via the Bruxelles-Midi (Brussel-Zuid,
Brussels-South) railway station by up to 6 Intercity trains an hour.  The Bruxelles-Midi railway station is served by high-speed trains
(Thalys, TGV, Eurostar, ICE) connecting to Amsterdam, London, Paris, or
Frankfurt, as well as by local trains connecting to Brussels International Airport and by the Brussels City Shuttle connecting to Brussels South Charleroi Airport.  Additionally, there are
about 4 direct daily Thalys services
from the Paris-Nord train station to Ghent. Alternatively, the Lille Europe
high-speed train station can be used: after reaching Lille Europe walk to the
Lille-Flandres train station next door and take the Intercity train from Lille
