25th European Conference on Computational Biology (ECCB 2026)
The 25th European Conference on Computational Biology (ECCB 2026), organized by the SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics, is a where leading researchers will gather to explore the latest advancements in genomics, structural bioinformatics, systems biology, biodiversity, and more.
Under the theme "Biodiversity, AI & Health: computational biology to address the challenges of our time", ECCB 2026 will highlight how computational biology drives innovation and addresses global challenges.
The five-day programme will begin on Monday 31 August with an opening speech by the Swiss President, followed by an afternoon public lecture on the impact and challenges of bioinformatics. The main conference will run from Monday 31 August to Wednesday 2 September 2026, featuring keynotes, proceedings, highlight talks, an ELIXIR Track, poster sessions, and an exhibition area.
This will be followed by tutorials and workshops, and the European ISCB Student Council Symposium (ESCS) on Thursday 3 September. The event will conclude with a Communities Day on Friday 4 September, bringing together key research communities in biodiversity, pathogen surveillance, and research infrastructures.
