Yoojung Han

Yoojung Han
PhD candidate
Seoul National University

Yoojung Han studied broadly about biochemistry, materials engineering, and molecular biology during her B.S. at Seoul National University. Then, she found her interests in computational biology and bioinformatics, and jumped up to the new study field since 2020 summer as a member of Dr. Hyeshik Chang's lab.

In the Chang Lab, Yoojung has led research on nanopore-based repeat expansion profiling in neurological diseases and computational pipeline generation for mRNA vaccine design. She is continually expanding her skill set to encompass all aspects, from wet lab experiments in molecular biology to data analysis and software development. Currently, she is working on expanding nanopore signal processing algorithms for custom sequencing applications, while exploring design principles for next-generation mRNA therapeutics.
