Konstantinos Mavrommatis
Konstantinos Mavrommatis, PhD, is a computational biology leader and data scientist with over two decades of experience designing high-throughput multi-omics pipelines and machine learning frameworks for biopharma and genomic research. He currently serves as Scientific Director of Applied Bioinformatics at Bristol Myers Squibb, where he directs cross-functional teams translating high-dimensional genomics, transcriptomics, and metagenomics data into actionable biomarker and drug discovery assets across clinical and preclinical programs. Previously, he led computational biology initiatives and infrastructure developments at the DOE Joint Genome Institute, contributing extensively to the Integrated Microbial Genomes (IMG) platform. Dr. Mavrommatis holds a PhD in Molecular Biology and Biomedicine from the University of Crete and has co-authored more than 350 peer-reviewed publications spanning oncology, microbiome analysis, and computational method development
